Teenage boy taken to hospital after accident in Minster Road, Minster, this morning

A teenager was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car outside a school this morning.

Police were called to the junction of Minster Road and Parsonage Chase in Minster, near the entrance to Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey, at 8.18am.

An ambulance and paramedic car were sent to the scene.

The boy, believed to have been 15-years-old, was fully conscious and had a cut to the side of his head.

After being checked at the scene he was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital as a precaution.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 8.18am on Thursday 6 November to a report of a collision on Minster Road, Minster-on-Sea.

"The incident involved a pedestrian and a vehicle. The pedestrian, thought to be a teenage boy, was taken to hospital believed to be as a precaution."
