A mystery man claims to have a seen a UFO while looking out the back door of his Kemsley home

The witness, known only as Matthew, spotted ‘a spherical disk shaped’ object in the sky at around 4pm on August 6.

In his report about the sighting on the website www.uk-ufo.co.uk, he claims he was looking from the direction of Milton Creek country park out towards Sheppey when he noticed large areas of rainbow coloured cloud before something in the distance caught his eye.

Describing the moment he said: “At first I thought it was a helium balloon blowing away, but as I watched it was travelling in a straight line across towards Sheppey.

“As it was going it looked as if it was spinning on its edges because one minute I could see a red coloured top half of a spherical disk type shape and the next minute I could see the underside which was either black in colour or looked black due to shadow.”

As it passed a distant pylon he claims he also noticed two smaller stationary dots in the sky at different heights.

He added: “I wanted to look at these but kept watching the original sphere. I was just waiting for it to zoom off suddenly but it never did.

"I kept watching until it was so distant my eyes lost focus. I don’t know what this was.

"It did not deviate from its course and when I lost focus I looked for the other two ‘dots’ but could not see anything. Soon after, the rainbow coloured mass had gone.

“I am not some nutter claiming to have seen alien spacecraft and can honestly say I have never seen this before and this thing was red on top, black on the bottom and I could see the thing revolving sort of like a spinning top would as it was slowing and spinning on its edges.”

Kent police, the Civil Aviation Authority and National Air Traffic Service confirmed no sightings had been reported to them.
