He then reportedly launched an attack on the second woman by knocking her head against the wall and pulling out her hair.

Speaking about the incident, the brother of the 20-year-old victim said: “They had just been on a night out in Sheerness and were heading home.

“No one should have to fear walking home.

“This is sick and twisted.

“I hope people can find it in their hearts to help track down this man.”

A police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene and carried out a search of the area but could not find the offender or offenders.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

One of the girls is believed to still be recovering in hospital.
