Woman arrested after crash in Marine Parade, Sheerness

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through alcohol or drugs and for assaulting an emergency worker following a crash.

Police were called at 9.35pm yesterday to a collision in Marine Parade, Sheerness. It involved two vehicles, one of which was parked.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service and a woman in her 30s was taken to hospital.

"She has since been discharged and arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through alcohol or drugs and for assaulting an emergency worker."
