The 35-year-old will now go on trial at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, November 19.

Miss Hickey is alleged to have been driving a black Peugeot 307 when it was in collision with an Age UK minibus in Marine Parade, Sheerness, just before 10am on Wednesday, January 16.

She was given unconditional bail.

The bus was carrying four elderly women on their way to the Sheppey Age UK day centre in Trinity Road for lunch. All had to be treated in hospital.

Eileen ‘Pat’ Murray, 77, from The Maples in The Broadway, Minster, later died from her injuries. Both vehicles were written off.
