Kent Air Ambulance to benefit in 24-hour cycle from Sittingbourne

Peter Goatham will attempt to ride 210 miles in 24 hours for charity later this month.

The 53-year-old sets off at 11am from Asda in Sittingbourne and will pass through Gravesend, Sevenoaks, Upfield and Sea Salter before heading back to Sittingbourne.

Peter, of Clive Road, is riding in aid of Kent Air Ambulance after they saved his life in 2010.

He said: “I had a cardiac arrest as I was getting out of a swimming pool while at the gym.

“They brought me back to life, without them I would not be here.”

He hopes to raise £1,000 with the charity bike ride, starting on September 26.
