Train disruption between Sittingbourne and Sheerness

A broken-down train knocked out services between Sittingbourne and Sheerness earlier this evening.

Southeastern tweeted about the development just before 6pm.

It said services between the two towns were not running after carriages became stuck at Sittingbourne.

Buses were brought in but just before 7.30pm the company tweeted to say trains were running normally again.
