Firefighters tackled a small attic blaze in Sittingbourne last night.

Crews were called to a property in Shortlands Road, at 8.45pm.

Wooden partitions were cut away and the fire was located above a bathroom light fitting.

Buckets of water and a pressure hose were used to deal with it.

Crews gave the residents fire safety advice and fitted two smoke alarms before leaving the property just before 10pm.
