Firefighters spent two hours this morning tackling a rubbish fire.
Crews were sent to Swale Way in Sittingbourne just after 1am to tackle the blaze.
The fire service asked residents to keep their windows and doors closed due to the large amount of smoke coming from the incident.
They used breathing apparatus and hole reel jets to extinguish the flames which was finally put out at 3am after working alongside Kent Police.
There were no reported injuries.
