It provides advice, information and is designed to demonstrate the potential of the area as a business location.

Participants spoke with representatives from Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and Kent Healthy Business Awards.

They also learned about the Sittingbourne town centre regeneration plans and the development of the mixed use development Eurolink East V on the Eurolink Industrial Estate.

Cabinet member for regeneration, Cllr Mike Cosgrove (Con), said: “We are asking local businesses to help by providing good news stories and encouraging words about doing business in Swale.”

The session was also an opportunity to discuss the draft local plan for housing and development over the next 20 years.

Cllr Gerry Lewin (Con), who also attended, said: “I hope businesses in Swale take the opportunity to respond to the consultation, which begins on December 19 to ensure the local plan continues to be economically driven.”
