Westlands Primary School, Sittingbourne, performs Wriggly Nativity

Angels, shepherds, sheep and stars helped make up the perfect nativity – with a wiggle.

Squirrel and Hedgehog class in reception year at Westlands Primary School, Sittingbourne, performed Wriggly Nativity, a piece written especially for their age group which means they don't have to sit still and can instead wriggle throughout their show.

Teacher Sarah Strachan congratulated them all.

She said: "What a fantastic Nativity performance they did. The children have been practising extremely hard this year and it showed in their performance. They were all very excited for their families to see.

"Parents, grandparents and carers were all delighted with the children’s confidence and acting and it was a great start to our Christmas celebrations. We are so incredibly proud of all the children.

"It is wonderful that our children have the opportunity to express themselves through performing.

"We are so grateful for all of the brilliant costumes which the children have come into school with – thank you parents and carers."
