A crash caused long delays on the M2 this morning, as one lane of the coastbound carriageway was closed.

Long traffic delays were reported on the coastbound carriageway of the M2 motorway between Junction 3, for the A229 Chatham and Rochester, and Junction 5, the A249 Stockbury roundabout turn-off to Sittingbourne, Sheerness and Maidstone, following a crash involving two cars at about 10.30am.

No serious injuries were reported and the carriageway was clear by 12.30pm.
