Noxious substance squirted in man’s face outside pub in Brewery Road, Milton Regis, Sittingbourne

A man is in hospital with facial injuries after being attacked with a noxious substance.

The incident happened near a pub in Brewery Road, Milton Regis, Sittingbourne between 8.40pm and 8.50pm on Saturday, April 13.

The victim, who is in his 20s, reported that he was approached by two men.

One is alleged to have assaulted him, while the second squirted a noxious substance in his face.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on Sunday and taken into custody. He has since been released on bail.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack.

Detective Sergeant Hannah Brown said: “A number of people were in the area at the time of the incident and we are urging anyone who witnessed anything to get in touch.

“We also understand one person may have some footage on their mobile phone that could assist the investigation and we would be particularly keen to talk to them.

“Motorists with dashcam and residents with CCTV in the area are also asked to check for relevant footage.”
