A huge blaze at the recycling centre in Ridham Docks kept six fire crews busy for three hours at the weekend.
About 100 tonnes of waste and plastic were alight at a recycling centre within the docks at about 5.15pm on Sunday.
By the time the crews got there the fire had spread to nearby grass and undergrowth.
Crews from Sittingbourne, Sheerness, Queenborough, Faversham and Rainham were called to attend the blaze.
The crews managed to put the fire out by about 8.10pm and 250 tonnes of waste plastic was damaged.
