Kent Air Ambulance called to Mill Way, Sittingbourne, after woman is hit by car

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a vehicle in a car park.

Police and Kent Air Ambulance were called to the incident off Mill Way, Sittingbourne, just after 9.10am.

The helicopter landed in the car park area of Formula One Autocentres but it's understood the patient was injured on the Asda supermarket site.

The pedestrian’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening at this stage. She has been taken by land ambulance to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham for further treatment.

Her next-of-kin has been informed. The lady’s age is currently unknown.
