Bapchild bar staff threatened by man wielding knife

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man reportedly threatened hotel bar staff with a knife.

He attempted to buy a drink at Hempstead House, on London Road, Bapchild, with what is believed to be a counterfeit £50 note.

When staff challenged him, he produced a knife before running away.

Officers have now released images of the incident which occurred on New Year’s Eve at around 5.15pm.
