Grove Park primary pupil Charlie Phillips won a national Stay Safe competition.
Pupils across the country were asked to design a police badge for their local force in a contest run by Lego.
More than 660 schools entered as part of a campaign to educate children about officers’ roles and duties, as well as encourage discussion about staying safe with their parents and teachers.
Eight-year-old Charlie, a Year 3 student, won a Lego City Police set for himself and his school.
Charlie’s teacher, Christina Nurden, said: “Charlie worked so hard on his design and I’m so proud of him. He always tries his hardest in classes and takes his time over all his work.
“His classmates were so excited to hear that he had won and all the staff and pupils are proud of him.”
