Kent Police renew appeal for information on fatal crash in Newington which killed Jack Burmingham, 17

Officers have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a car crashed into another vehicle, killing a boy.

At 9.55pm on Thursday, May 18, a white Mitsubishi L200 truck travelling on the A2 London Road, Newington, was in collision with a parked vehicle and a wall near the junction of Playstool Road.

One of the passengers of the truck, 17-year-old Jack Burmingham from Medway, died at the scene.

Three other people suffered injuries and were taken to hospital.

Police are keen to talk to the driver of a dark-coloured, medium-sized hatchback-style car which passed through the area.

It was travelling from the direction of Keycol Hill towards Rainham – the same direction as the L200.

A spokesman for the force said: "The driver of the vehicle is not suspected of any wrongdoing however officers believe they may have important information on the incident."
