Stacy Burnett and her partner Daniel Webb are looking for people to sponsor their wedding.

A photographer, suits, invites, make-up and flowers.

Those are the things that are still needed by a cash-strapped couple who are looking for businesses to sponsor their big day so they can get wed for free.

Stacy Burnett, 29, and Daniel Webb, 28, have had numerous offers from companies since we carried the story about their unusual approach to planning their wedding.

The pair, who been together for two years, hope to marry this year.

The bride-to-be had bought her wedding dress and two bridesmaids’ outfits in anticipation of booking their nuptials.

They even moved into Stacy’s parents home in Barrow Grove, Sittingbourne, to save money.

But the rising cost of getting hitched meant they had to put their plans on hold.

Now their dreams are a step closer to becoming a reality.

Representatives from The Historic Dockyard Chatham and The Coniston Hotel, London Road, Sittingbourne, have been in contact offering their venues while Bella Diamonds in London has offered to make their wedding rings.

Other companies that have offered their services include Celebration Chair Covers, Maidstone, Sugar Darling Cakes, Thanet, Discologic, Chatham, and All Kent Wedding Cars, Sittingbourne.

West Malling-based wedding planner Julie Finlay has also offered her services.

Stacy said: “I’m still waiting to hear back from The Historic Dockyard Chatham and we’ve got to arrange to go and have a look at The Coniston before we can make a decision on the venue.

“Until then we can’t set a date which means we can’t arrange with the other businesses about using their services but we’re really happy with how things are going.”

Companies interested in sponsoring Stacy and Daniel’s wedding are asked to contact the newsdesk on 01795 580300.
