World Superbike star Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne has married.

The former British Superbike champion from Sittingbourne married Petra Liskova at Eastwell Manor, near Ashford, last month.

The couple met while Shane was riding in MotoGP in 2005 and have a son Zack.

Shane returns to the British Superbike series in 2011 with the HM Plant Honda team, having previously won the title in 2002 and 2008.
