A drunken man has been jailed after a "random and unprovoked" attack on a teenage boy.
Thug Shane Scamp, of Sittingbourne - who was drinking vodka - assaulted the teenager in a Faversham park in September last year.
Scamp, of Wild Ash Croft, kicked the 16-year-old victim in the face because he thought he was laughing at his friend, Maidstone Crown Court heard.
The attack left the teenager with a fractured cheekbone and he is now frightened to go out by himself.
Scamp, 21, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and was jailed for three-and-a-half years.
Prosecutor Rio Pahlavenpour told the court that on September 13 last year, two teenagers were sitting in the recreation ground near Park Road.
They noticed two men near the skate park area being rowdy and drinking from a bottle of alcohol.

The prosecutor said that Scamp then accused the teenagers of laughing at his friend.
He then struck one of the teenagers in the face with the back of his hand before kicking him in the face causing him to fall backwards and lose consciousness for a few minutes.
He fled and officers chased him on foot, however, he was handed a bike by an unknown youth and escaped.
Further investigation confirmed Scamp had carried out the assault and, eight days later, officers arrested him at his home.
The victim had sustained a fractured cheekbone which required surgery. Scamp threatened to kill him if he reported the incident to police.
Judge Philip St John Stevens told him: "You were in the park drinking and your victim was 16 years old. This attack was random and unprovoked.
"You had drunk so much you repeatedly kicked him."
Investigating officer, Police Constable Luke Challinger, said: "The victim of this case, who was significantly younger than the offender, was socialising with his friend and Scamp viciously kicked him in the face for no reason causing serious injury. His violent behaviour during this unprovoked attack is unacceptable and a custodial sentence is entirely justified."
