Cheran's Bakery, Sittingbourne, gears up for Halloween

A town’s first sweet bakery is gearing up for Halloween with creepy cookies, scary sponges and blood-curdling brownies.

Cheran’s Bakery, in West Street, Sittingbourne, has gone all out this October with spooky themed desserts and even a decorative skull arch.

After opening just four months ago, owner and mother-of-two Cheran Friedman said the business is booming, with talks of new shops on the cards.

The 29-year-old, of Rock Road, said: "People can see how much effort we've put into decorating the shop and that is why they keep coming back.

"Everyone who has come in store has loved it, especially the kids."

Cheran's Bakery is offering purple ice cream with googly eyes, themed cookies and brownies with skulls on top and even Halloween themed coffees.

Those celebrating the spooky season can also order big tray bakes for parties.
