A three car crash caused queues on a main route through the county.

Two cars and a van were involved in the incident, which closed one coastbound lane of the M2 between junctions 5 and 6.

Police were alerted at 4.24pm about the incident, which also affected the nearby A251 Ashford Road to Faversham.

Highways England has confirmed the road reopened at 6pm.

Tailbacks are being experienced by commuters to Junction 3, with an estimated hour-long delay to travel times.
