Cash, motorhome and van seized in raid at Spade Lane, Hartlip

Over £30,000, a motorhome and van have been seized after police raided properties in Hartlip.

Officers searched premises in Spade Lane at about 7am today as part of an investigation into a number of vehicle thefts around Kent.

The cash was seized and two men, aged 42 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal.

They both remain in custody as an investigation continues.

A motorhome and van, which were thought to be stolen, were also taken by police.

Since January, police have received multiple reports of stolen cars, vans and caravans from towns including Dover, Canterbury, Folkestone, Faversham, Gillingham and Maidstone with a value totalling more than £50,000.
