A woman has been held by police after reports she was seen with a knife in Sittingbourne.
Police were called at 5.23pm to reports of a distressed woman acting erratically in Regis Crescent.
She was detained under the Mental Health Act by officers but was not found to be in possession of a knife at the time.
No-one was injured during the incident and inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
