A woman was hit by a car as she crossed the road in Kemsley, near Sittingbourne, this afternoon.
Ambulance staff and police were called to Grovehurst Road at about 1.35pm.
It is understood a car had stopped to allow the woman, who was in her 70s, to cross when another vehicle drove into the back of it, sending it crashing into the pensioner.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “She was hit by a stationary car which had been rear-ended by another vehicle.
“We sent two cars and an ambulance. She was believed to have suffered injuries to her ribs, hand and head.
“The woman was treated at the scene before being taken as a priority to Medway Maritime Hospital. She was fully conscious.”
Police confirmed they were called following a collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.
A force spokesman added: “None of those involved were believed to have been seriously injured.”
