Jim Ward has urged fans to give Sittingbourne a good send-off when they play their final game at Bourne Park.

Brickies host joint-boss Ward’s former club Ramsgate in their final match of the Ryman League Division 1 South season on Saturday.

It will be their farewell appearance at Bourne Park ahead of the move to Woodstock Park next season.

And Ward (pictured), who takes his team to relegated Walton Casuals for a rearranged game on Wednesday, said: "I’d like to see anyone who’s ever been to see a game at Bourne Park pay one final visit and give the club a good send-off. It would be good for the club, the chairman (Andy Spice) and the players.

"There will be a cup-final feel to the game because, providing we win at Walton, we can still finish above Ramsgate. But if Ramsgate beat us, they still have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs."

Ward admitted the chance to beat the club he left a year ago will add to the occasion.

He added: "The one thing you know in football management is you are going to get sacked. It does make a little difference when you’re up against your old club but I bear no grudges. The main thing is we want to win the game and finish as high as we can in the league."
