Sittingbourne FC joint-manager Matt Wyatt delighted to recruit midfielders Ibrahim Hassan and Tuan West

Sittingbourne joint-manager Matt Wyatt has boosted his squad with two new midfielders.

Ibrahim Hassan, who was on Barnet’s books as a youngster, has joined from Ryman League, Premier Division outfit Hampton & Richmond and made his debut in Brickies’ 1-1 draw at Hastings on Monday.

Fellow new man Tuan West, previously at Guildford City, was an unused substitute and the pair are in contention for a place in the squad when Brickies host Horsham in Ryman League, Division 1 South on Saturday.

Wyatt said: “Hassan comes with a good pedigree having been a young pro at Barnet. He plays out wide or full-back and gives us good cover.

“Tuan is another versatile player. He can play wide-left, wide-right or through the middle. “We had a tremendous nucleus to the squad but me and Nick Davis (joint-manager) felt we needed more cover in certain areas when we took over.

“We’ve had huge players like Ryan Golding, Joe Taylor, Luke Girt and Nick Treadwell missing in recent weeks and a year ago that would have killed us."

Adam Molloy (stiff neck) is the only injury doubt for the Horsham game but Bourne have a Skrill South keeper on standby.
