Kent Kings finally broke their duck at Central Park on Monday night.

They beat Rye House Raiders 58-35 in the Tunnel Trophy, boosted by captain Steve Boxall's first maximum for the team.

He won all four of his heats while Ben Morley took three out of five races en route to a 13-point haul.

Benji Compton impressed with 11 points and two bonus points and there was a winning return for Sam Woods, a week after he was axed from the team.

Recalled in place of broken collarbone victim Mark Baldock, Woods won heat two and finished with a much-improved 6+1.

It was a first victory in nine meetings for the new Kent team.

Kings travel to Isle of Wight Islanders for a National Trophy tie tonight (Tuesday).
