Prolific striker Joe Taylor has confirmed he is leaving Sittingbourrne to join Conference South Farnborough.

Taylor attracted interest from a number of clubs at higher levels after scoring 27 goals for the Brickies in Ryman League Division 1 South last season.

Joint-bosses Matt Wyatt and Nick Davis expected him to leave this summer and the player announced on Facebook he would be signing for Farnborough.

Taylor wrote: "I've decided to move on to Farnborough FC as I want to improve myself at highest level possible and it's a great opportunity for me.

"Big thanks to Matt and Nick for their constant support and also Jim and Danny (Ward, ex-Brickies joint-bosses) for their influence since I was a teenager.

"Everyone at the club was excellent with me for the two seasons I played, best of luck for the new season."
