Bus stop along A28 in St Michaels, Tenterden, destroyed after being hit by a car

A car has ploughed into a bus stop leaving it completely destroyed.

Pictures show the damage following the incident.

One driver passed the bus stop just after 5.30pm yesterday, understood to be not long after the collision.

“I did not actually see the crash but I was probably a few minutes after it because the police were there speaking to several people,” they said.

“They all seemed ok.”

A spokesperson for the police said officers were called at 4.41pm.

“ We were called to a report of a car driver colliding with a bus stop near St Michaels in Tenterden,” they said.

“No injuries were reported.”
