Ring stolen in burglary at house on A28 at High Halden

A £1,000 diamond ring has been stolen during a break-in when the back door of a house was forced open

The owners of a house on the A28 at High Halden discovered the theft of the blue/green gem on Wednesday. It was reported to have been stolen between 12.45-1.45pm and was among a number of items taken.

Police attended the scene and spokesman Det Con Kay Brown said: "We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at that time, and to anyone who may have been offered this ring."
