Brett Johnson and Freddie Ladapo have both agreed contract extensions with Vanarama National League South new boys Margate.

Defender Johnson, 29, has signed a new one-year deal, while 22-year-old Ladapo has penned a two-year agreement with the Thanet club.

Former Woking centre-half Johnson made 47 appearances last season, scoring one goal, while Ladapo hit the target 10 times in 17 games, having moved from Kidderminster in January having spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Grays Athletic.

Margate manager Terry Brown said: "Brett and Freddie were top class last season, and I am delighted they have decided to continue this project with Margate.

"Freddie is young and hungry to score goals at this level and will cause defences all sorts of problems next season.

"Brett was superb last year and will bring some experience to an already strong back four."
