Two people taken to hospital in London following motorbike accident on south-bound carriageway of A21 in Tonbridge

Two people are in hospital with serious injuries following a motorbike accident yesterday afternoon.

The casualties were travelling on a motorbike which crashed at 3.40pm on the north-bound carriageway of the A21 in Tonbridge.

Two air ambulances attended, with traffic on the south-bound carriageway cleared to make way for the helicopters.

A police spokesman said although the injuries are serious, they are not thought to be life threatening.

The accident caused long delays on both sides of the road but it was fully open again at 5.25pm.
