Suspects from Sittingbourne and Tonbridge charged with dealing drugs including cocaine and ketamine

Two men have been charged on suspicion of being involved with a county-wide drugs ring.

Police believe the suspects, from Sittingbourne and Tonbridge, are involved in the supply of cocaine and ketamine.

They also stand accused of money laundering offences.

They were arrested by officers investigating the trade of large quantities of cocaine and ketamine, estimated to be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

On November 9, police seized around 500 grams of ketamine from a van parked in Geneva Avenue, Gillingham.

Robert Shearmur, 33, was arrested the same day at his home in Breach Lane, in Lower Halstow, Sittingbourne.

The other suspect, Harry Darke, 26, who lives in Burtons Lane, Marden was arrested on Monday.

Both appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court - Shearmur last Wednesday and Darke yesterday.

Their next hearing will be at Maidstone Crown Court on December 8.
