Tonbridge Grammar invites entries to virtual pet show

If you have a cute pet photo, you could be in line to win a pet-related prize.

Tonbridge Grammar School's PTA has been hard hit in its fundraising this year thanks to Covid.

Its usual Christmas fair and raffle have had to be cancelled, as did its quiz night. The pupils have also missed out on their Year 7 Picnic in the Park and the annual disco.

So, to raise cash, the PTA is inviting pet owners to take part in an online virtual pet show.

Entry is £2.50 per picture and there are prizes for a number of categories: dog, puppy, cat, kitten, small pet, tropical, and best pet in a Christmas outfit.

You can enter your pet up to the deadline of December 11.

Chairman Lynn Gadsby said: "This is the first time we have tried a virtual event. We have been able to source some amazing donations from local businesses and we hope that this event will attract attention for the school."

The prizes include free entry to Paws Cat Cafe in Tonbridge, a handmade stylish bandana with your pet's name from Eltham Gift Shop, a personalised food bowl with your pet's name, entry for a family of four to Godstone Park and many more.
