Known for his controversial views, George Galloway is reported to have also said that all public schools should be abolished, whilst speaking to students from Tonbridge School and the Judd School.

The appearance is one from a series of political figures that the school get to speak, the head of the Green Party, Natalie Bennett, was scheduled to appear the day before her widely publicised interview with Nick Ferrari took place.

A school spokesperson said:

"A large number of politicians have spoken to the School's politics society, of which George Galloway is the latest example.

These regular talks represent a diverse range of opinions from across the political spectrum for Tonbridge boys, and some local sixth form students, to debate and discuss."
