Hildenborough: Jewellery stolen as woman confronts burglary suspect

Detectives have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak after a woman disturbed a burglary suspect she found inside her home.

The victim discovered the intruder at around 2.30pm on Monday, December 11, after a window was found to have been forced to the property in Leigh Road, Hildenborough.

It is reported the man left when challenged, but dropped a screwdriver on his way out, which he then returned to pick up before running from the scene.

Possessions including earrings and a watch were later reported by the victim as stolen. The suspect is described as white and in his 40s or 50s and approximately 6ft tall.

He was of slim build with dark, greying hair and was wearing a black coat and black trousers.
