Tonbridge man Robin Eates of Brindles Field stole bicycle from Tunbridge Wells and assaulted officer

A Tonbridge man who admitted stealing a bicycle and assaulting a police officer has been sentenced by magistrates.

On May 10, Robin Eates, of Brindles Field, stole the vehicle from Upper Grosvenor Road in Tunbridge Wells.

The same day he assaulted a police officer in the town.

Magistrates ordered the 22-year-old to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and pay £75 in compensation, a £180 criminal courts charge and £85 costs.
