Tonbridge: Man in his 60s stabbed twice in the stomach during robbery

A man in his 60s remains in a serious condition after he was stabbed and robbed.

Police say the victim was approached while walking on a pathway between Sovereign Way and Avenue Du Puy in Tonbridge.

It is alleged the victim was stabbed and the suspect picked up loose change which fell from the victim's pocket at around 10.50pm on Monday.

The victim later found two stab wounds to his stomach and was taken to a London hospital.

He remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police are now searching for a black man in his 20s who is slim with short curly black hair.

The suspect spoke with a foreign accent and was wearing a loose fitting black t shirt and grey trousers.
