Sex attack: police issue descriptions of culprits

WEST Kent Police have issued a description of two men they want to talk to in connection with a serious sexual attack on a young woman in the Waveney Road area of Tonbridge.

The incident took place at about midnight last Thursday. The first man is white, aged in his 30s, of stocky build, with light coloured but not blond hair, a light brown goatee beard and a podgy round face.

He was wearing a light-coloured denim jacket, a black hooded top, light blue jeans with a belt and a silver watch. The second man was also white, aged in his 30s, of slim/average build, with dark brown short hair cut with a fringe.

He was wearing a black bomber jacket with an orange lining and a zip on the top of the right sleeve, white t-shirt and blue jeans. One of the men wore a gold hoop earring. It is thought that the pair were driving a dark blue, small van which may have been dirty and/or a bit dented.

Detective Inspector Eddie Harris said: "We hope that people will not hesitate to come forward with information in order than we can find the people responsible and prevent further attacks."

Anyone with information about the men or who saw any vehicle or person acting suspiciously in the area between 11pm and 1am is asked to contact Tonbridge Police Station on 01732 370747.
