Classic car run roars through Tonbridge

The Tonbridge Lions are hoping for a repeat of the success that accompanied their inaugural Classic Car Tour of Kent last July.

This year’s event has been scheduled for Sunday, July 19, when anyone with a pre-1996 vehicle is invited to join in the fun.

The tour is non-competitive, simply a chance to cruise the beautiful Kent countryside in the company of like-minded car enthusiast.

The £60 entry fee includes coffee at the starting point at Tonbridge Castle, lunch at the Broke Hill Golf Club near Sevenoaks and a cream tea on the homebound journey - for the driver and one passenger.

Entrants will be given an easy-to-follow road book to take them along a carefully researched route through the Weald, the North Downs and Darenth Valley.

Younger interesting vehicles may be permitted at the organisers’ discretion.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Phoenix Autism Centre in Tonbridge.

Entry forms are available from www.tonbridgelions.co.uk.
