He said: "The fabulous Tonbridge Triathlon was a great kick-start to the whole triathlon season”.

Almost 500 athletes were drawn from all over the UK and Europe, competing over two distances, the Standard - 800 metre swim, 50k cycle and 10k run - and Sprint - 400 metre swim, 25k cycle and 5k run.

Tom McHenry, chairman of the Tri-committee said: “Tonbridge Lions Club would be donating towards KSS Air Ambulance, LIBRA, SANDS, Headway and other local charities; and would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters. Everyone is now looking forward to 2016 when we will be celebrating twenty five years of the Tonbridge Triathlon”.
