Gamato and Duke Of Kentford, both winners at Charing on Easter Saturday, are both set to challenge each other again in the men’s novice opener on the six-race card (2pm).

Hunters Lodge will hope to go one better this time after a string of second places this season, while Conkies Lad could also have a chance.

Biggest danger might be Festival Bound, a course winner three years ago.

Rose Grissell sends out De Clare Man, winner at Aldington on Easter Monday, and Owenacurra in the conditions race, while Brook trainer David Phelan has Running in Heels, aiming for a third win of the season.

Behind The Scenes, Counting House and Little Legend are all entered in the ladies’ race, having finished in that order at the Kent/Surrey borders course last month.

Grissell saddles Rear Gunner, looking to follow up the success achieved at Charing last time out.

Three pony races precede the main event, the first starting at 12.30pm.

Admission is £25 per car – £10 for single occupancy.
