Tonbridge Angels boss Steve McKimm admits there are 12-14 teams who can reach the Ryman Premier play-offs

Longmead was rocking on Saturday when Tonbridge scored a stoppage-time equaliser to peg back Ryman League, Premier Division leaders Dulwich Hamlet.

Nathan Elder glanced Nick Wheeler’s cross beyond Hamlet keeper Phil Wilson to cancel out Mitchell Nelson’s 73rd-minute opener and send the majority of the 1,095 crowd wild.

Tonbridge boss Steve McKimm hailed the 1-1 draw as a Ryman Premier classic.

He said: “We dominated the first half, created chances and had a goal disallowed.

“They upped their game in the second half and put us on the back foot. They’ve got good, technical players – although I was disappointed with the goal we conceded.

“But my team never give up. We’ve got the belief to keep going and if it doesn’t come, we’ll keep pressing."

Angels travel to Canvey Island on Saturday sitting third, three points behind Dulwich with two games in hand.

McKimm said: “We’ve got nearly as many points (47) as we had at the end of last season (52), so that’s pleasing.

“I just wanted to do better than last season and that’s not a cop-out in case we slip
down. We are in a false position at the moment relative to where we expected to be. We’ve just got to push on.

“There are probably 12 or 14 teams who can get in the play-offs. No-one’s running away with it, so we’ve got to treat every game like a cup final."
