Tonbridge boss Steve McKimm admits Angels are entering a week which is likely to determine their Ryman League, Premier Division fate.

Angels are two places and three points above the relegation zone with just five games left, the first of which is a crucial clash with AFC Hornchurch at Longmead onSaturday.

McKimm’s side are just five points and three places ahead of the Essex side, who have a game in hand and he admitted: “It is a must-win game. We need three points and if we can get them, it would be massive.”

The match is the first of three huge games in seven days as Angels face an Easter Monday trip to title-chasing Margate (3pm) and then host fourth-bottom Witham, next Saturday.

McKimm admitted: “It’s a big weekend for us. Saturday is all we’re thinking about. We won’t worry about Margate until Hornchurch is out of the way.

“Whatever happens, it won’t be over on Saturday, there is no panic setting in, there are still more games to play. It’s in our hands but we have to do the business, we can’t afford to rely on anyone else. We’ll know where we are after these three games.”

Tonbridge have gone seven games without a win – although have drawn the last three at Longmead 1-1 – and McKimm hopes to break the run in front of their own fans.

He said: “Hopefully, we can win and the fans can enjoy it."
