Police appeal after boy robbed in alleyway near Grosvenor Park in Tunbridge Wells

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was robbed by a suspect who claimed to have a gun.

The 16-year-old boy was leaving Grosvenor Park, in Tunbridge Wells, between 2.25pm and 2.50pm on Monday, April 13, when the incident happened.

He was walking along the alleyway towards Vernon Road when the suspect approached him and asked him to hand over a small quantity of cash.

The suspect is described as a black, 6ft male, aged between 17 and 20 and of medium build, wearing a blue tracksuit, with a black bomber jacket and Nike trainers,

Detectives are now appealing for anyone who may have seen anything, or who saw any suspicious activity in the area, to contact Detective Constable Ben Clatworthy on 01732 379145, quoting crime reference YY/7252/15 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
