Oldest law firm has new home in Tunbridge Wells

They are reputed to be the UK's oldest law, but the staff at Thomson Snell and Passmore, founded in 1570, now have a smart new building to work in.

The firm has opened its new head office at Heathervale House in Vale Avenue, Tunbridge Wells, after moving from Lonsdale Gardens. The 28,000 sq. foot, newly refurbished, modern open plan space spans five floors.

The firm has been based in the town since 1910. Together with its offices at the Thames Gateway in Dartford employs over 250 people including 140 lawyers.

Senior partner James Partridge said: "Thomson Snell and Passmore has long been recognised as a key pillar of the local community. As we continue to grow our legal offering to clients and increase in size, we remain committed to building on our heritage by investing in our people and the local area."
