CCTV shows car weaving dangerously in and out of traffic in police chase in North Farm area of Tunbridge Wells

Footage showing the moment a car swerves dramatically in and out of oncoming traffic in a police chase has emerged.

The CCTV, taken from a nearby business, shows a dark-coloured Ford Focus weaving dangerously around cars on both sides of the road in the North Farm area of Tunbridge Wells.

Later, traffic is seen parting as a police car with blue flashing lights gives chase to the vehicle.

Police are searching for the driver and passengers of the car, which was later found abandoned in Stone Street.

The force's helicopter was also deployed in the manhunt.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "At around 9.50am , police requested a car to stop in the North Farm area of Tunbridge Wells.

"The vehicle failed to stop for officers and drove away from the scene.

"It was later found abandoned in Stone Street and a search is ongoing to locate the driver and any passengers."

The search for the driver and any passengers continues.
