Cause of car park death as yet unknown

An inquest into the death of a man who fell from a Tunbridge Wells car park has been opened and adjourned.

Martin Lewis, 48, died on January 29 this year, after a member of the public reported seeing him fall from the four-storey Crescent Road car park at around 3pm.

Ambulance crews and medics from the Kent Air Ambulance tried to resuscitate him with CPR, but he never regained consciousness.

Coroner Roger Hatch heard that a post mortem had so far not been able to establish the cause of death and he adjourned the hearing for further reports.

Mr Lewis was from Crawley in West Sussex.

Police had earlier said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
